Glooming Clouds
It looked like it was going to rain the entire time I was running, but it held off. It went really great today. I felt like I could get going, which I am thinking is a good sign. I am realizing (as I am new to this training thing) that running is such a mental activity. If I let my mind sit on feeling tired, I am tired. However, if I treat each step as enjoyment and really get into the rhythm of my breathing and my feet hitting the pavement, I am golden! I have a six mile run on Sunday, so we’ll see how that goes!

Sprinkles
Great run again. I was only supposed to run 4 miles, but I ran a bit extra. I was feeling great. It did lightly sprinkle on me the whole time, but this felt really good. I was a nice cool night. I do best when the weather is cool, but I know I’ll eventually have to run in the heat too. Uggggh

I CAN DO IT
I ran for about one hour (5 miles) and I felt great! I could have gone longer. My legs were perfect, my breathing was wonderful. I am so proud of myself!! Yeah me.

City running day 3
Great day again! I did get a side ache REALLY BAD ONE, and I couldn’t run and breathe through it. I had to stop and rest for a bit. I think it was because I picked up pace too fast.

City running
Today Bill and I ran in the city (Chicago). I really liked this, because we had shade majority of the time and there is so much to look at. The 3 miles went really fast. I felt great. I am getting control of my breathing a lot more these days. I can focus on it, and I can get rid of side aches by changing my breating.

Chicago Heat!
I ran on the lake in Chicago. It was 11:00 am and HOT. I obviously do not run well in the heat, because I got sick. I had to sprint to the bathroom!!! This was a terrible, terrible run. After I got sick in the bathroom, I had to walk because I had such a bad side ache. It was direct sun the whole time, and I did not enjoy it at all. Never again will I run at this time! You live and you learn I guess.

Rained on!
New route that I really liked. Nice easy run. It did rain on me at the end, but overall very nice relaxing morning run!
